Kathleen Vollebregt


Most recently Kathleen served as director of marketing for Queen’s University where she led the team in developing the university’s first-ever brand positioning, the foundation for Queen’s successful Initiative Campaign. She has worked at some of the world’s most prestigious advertising agencies as a strategic planner including TBWA/Chiat Day and Young & Rubicam. She has carried out market research for such top international conglomerates as Unilever, Pepsi and Burger King. Whatever the job, she attributes her success to an interest in how people interact with the world around them and how it affects their behaviors and attitudes. Her personal philosophy is to stay curious.

Brand Design

Jon Allison is the founder of Backcountry Branding. He guides brands to develop a clear message and a memorable identity that increased brand value. Jon is the creative force in the development of brands and campaigns for: Frontenac County, Fairmount Homes, Youth Diversion, Love Kingston, Hard Way Cider, Frontenac Paramedic Services, to name just a few.

He is an award winning RGD Certified Senior Designer and the creative director for Avenue Strategy brand projects.


Lightbody Marketing

Digital Strategy

Lightbody Marketing founder Dave Rossborough has 21 years of experience in the Digital Marketing and Marketing Technology sectors. Dave was the CMO at BodyRock.TV from 2015 to 2018 where he built and spearheaded the team responsible for replatforming and reinventing the business as an OTT fitness video subscription company. Dave has previously worked as Marketing Director at iSTORM New Media, Senior Account Manager at AllRoads, and Head of Marketing at DocuPet. He is the lead Digital Strategist for Avenue Strategy.


Amanda Black Design

Graphic Design

Amanda is a graphic designer with over 25 years experience. An Ontario College of Art and Design graduate, she began her career in Toronto working for a variety of design firms as well as Loblaw Companies where she specialized in package design. After moving with her family to Kingston ON, Amanda worked at Queen’s University Marketing as a designer overseeing a range of projects including advertising, brand identity and logo development.

Make Hay Media

Video Production

Make Hay Media specializes in documentary filmmaking for purpose-driven global brands. They are storytellers and bring the brand to life through film. MHM is a full-service production team will provide project management and production for a wide-range of projects including company profiles, customer testimonials, recruitment videos, live events video, TV/You Tube advertisements, and music videos.


Mitch Vollebregt

Web Development

Mitch is a Computer Science graduate from Queen’s University. He lives and breathes programming and web development. Mitch is currently working as a Sr. Software Engineer at Wave Financial in Toronto.
